About Mrs. Alvarez
Originally from Long Island, New York, my interest in teaching began when I tutored fellow students in Jr. High and High School. I continued tutoring classmates in college and I also volunteered at local community centers to help younger students with homework and arranging after school activities. I graduated from James Madison University with a degree in Media Arts. I earned a Masters Degree in Teaching from Georgia State University, and began teaching middle school science. Two years ago, I began teaching math in addition to science in elementary school. Besides teaching, I am currently pursuing an Education Specialist in Middle Grades Mathematics from Kennesaw State University.
